Destiny of the Heart
Chapter Eight
"This is search team one checking in." Sally continued to look out the window of the plane waiting for a reply.
"Sally how are things going up there?." asked Lucrezia.
"We should be reaching the our target search area in the next fifteen minutes. How's Wufei dealing with working with Duo today?"
Sally believed that she herd Noin chuckle "I think that they had planned to split up after they left here."
"Figures. Well, I better keep my eyes glued to the ground or you man will have my head."
"Ok Sally, good luck today."

After waking up the next morning Relena moaned from moving her stiff body. Heero smirked and ran his hand up and down her back.
"Was I too rough with you last night?"
"No." She smiled and looked up at him. "I think it's how many times we decided to be 'active' last night."
He raised his eyebrows in amusement. "Active."
She nodded in response. Heero quickly pushed her on her back and laid half of his body on top of her. He kissed her vigorously on the lips and worked his way to her neck nibbling and kissing.
"Are you too sore to go one more time?"
"One more time huh? Like that will ever happen." she said teasingly.
He continued to kiss her neck while moving himself to rest between her legs, causing her to gasp when she felt his hardness press up against her as he laid back down on top of her.
"I can't get enough of you." He whispered then nibbled on her ear.
Relena moaned as he continued to let his hands wader around her body. He worked his way to her chest and playfully massaged each breast with his hands as he worked his lips from her neck down to her chest. Relena lightly bit her bottom lip as she remembered what he did to her last night and was about to do again. The sheer pleasure that his hands and lips did to her made her body feel like it was on fire. She closed her eyes enjoying the pleasure that he was giving her and preparing for what was to come. She suddenly felt him stop his movement and become still. She opened her eyes and looked at him. It looked as though something else held his attention.
"Heero what's wrong?"
"Shhhhh." He placed a finger on her lips. "Get dressed quick."
Heero quickly scrambled off of her and grabbed her clothes throwing them to her and then he started to get himself dressed.
"Heero what's going on?"
He was silent as he finished dressing. "Did you hear it?" he looked at her once he was done.
"Hear what?"
"A plane just passed by. Hurry up, I'm going out to look." Heero walked toward the mouth of the cave and stopped to look back at her. "We're going to get out of here." He smiled then left her alone.

"Wufei, will you stop for a minute!" Duo yelled into his radio. He watched Wufei's snowmobile come to a stop ahead of him.
"What do you want now Maxwell?"
"I have a feeling that we should go back the way that we came."
"Go back! There's nothing back there. We circled the same area twice."
"I just think that we should look one more time that's all." Duo watched as Wufei turned around.
"Fine Maxwell, if it will get you to leave me alone."
Duo smiled. "Sure we'll split up after this if you want to."
"I want." Wufei said as he came to a stop next to Duo.
Duo turned and they headed back the way that they came. Duo glanced back at the mountain that was now behind them. 'Man I have a bad feeling.'

Heero watched the sky. He could faintly hear a plane and was trying to figure out what direction it was coming from. He was definitely sure that it wasn't just someone passing by, the plane was obviously flying a search pattern. He glanced at the cave to see that Relena had just came out and was watching him.
"Relena!" Heero yelled at her as he approached her. "Get some firewood from inside."
She nodded and went back into the cave and came back a few moments later and handed him the wood. Heero moved back from the cave and threw the sticks on the ground and worked on starting a fire once it was burning he stood back up and looked around.
"We need to burn something to get a signal smoke going." He looked at Relena to see that she was running back toward the cave.
Relena ran into the cave and moved the blankets out of the way and started to gather the pine needles in her arms and quickly ran back out to Heero. He smiled once he saw her.
"That will work for now. I'm going to head down to the stream. There are should be some leaves buried under the snow. Stay here and keep an eye out."
"Heero." he stopped and looked back at her. "You owe me a real date when we get back."
He nodded then took off down to the stream.

"Sally have you spotted anything yet?" asked Noin
"No nothing yet, were going to pass by the mountain again then work our way up the stream." Sally glanced at the mountain in the distance.
"Sally." She looked over at the pilot. "Take a look over there." He pointed out the front window.
Sally looked to where he pointed and saw a small amount of smoke near the base of the mountain.
"Noin this is Sally, were going to check out what looks like a small fire."
"A fire? Where is that located?"
"Near the base of the mountain. I radio back in after we swing by."
Sally watched the smoke closely as the got closer all of a sudden the pilot pulled back and the plane veered to the left and headed up.
"What's going on!" Sally yelled at the man.
"Look at the mountain. You better radio it in quick if the rest of your people is down there."
Sally looked the the mountain to see that a avalanche had started to slide down.
"Shit! Noin there is an avalanche pull Wufei and Duo out now if they are near the base of the east side of the mountain."
"There's a what?" Noin replied
"An avalanche is occurring on the east side of the mountain."

Heero was walking back from the stream with his second load of leaves when he stopped not far from the fire when he herd the plane approaching. He looked to see Relena step out of the cave then glanced back up toward the sky. They could see the plane veer off. Heero then looked back at Relena and looked up at the mountain.
Relena watched as Heero threw down the leaves and started to run toward her.
"Relena! Get back in the cave now!"
She stared at him confused then she herd a sound coming from above her. She looked up to see a wall of snow heading toward her. She froze, fear overtaking her. She tried to get her legs to move, but she couldn't get them to go. She could hear Heero come up behind then she felt his hands on her back as he pushed her into the cave. Then everything went black.
